Used Uni-North IC was Rev. 11, and performance increased.

PX Bus speed ups from 100 MHz to 133 MHz and is that AGP doubled from 2* to 4*.

But Rev.11 seems to include many hidden performance improvement.

There is support of Write Combine which is not written by Developer Note. Performance of FireWire Link Layer improved.

The determination of memory performance of PowerBook G4 Gigabit Ethernet was difficult.

L1 performance measured memory transmission competence of 4,8,16Kbyte entity.Content was small, but, as for L2 cash built in by die internal, performance improvement more than clock rate was recognized.

The memory bus performance that uped from 100 MHz to 133 MHz improves as expected, too.

As a result of I built in Toshiba MK-2016GAP in CitiDisk Jr. FastFire which carried Oxford 911 ATA-FireWire Bridge IC, and having compared maximum transmission rate at having hit in the buffer area.

Rate improvement more than 10 MB / second was recognized in PowerBook G4 Gigabit Ethernet even if used same FireWire PHY.

It will be effect of performance improvement of Rev.11 Uni-North IC internal FireWire Link Layer section.
